Privacy Policy

Farsight is a macOS application for recording and reviewing League of Legends matches. This policy explains how the application handles information.

Information Farsight handles

Farsight may process screen video, system audio, microphone audio, League match events, player names, scoreboard information, and local recording metadata to provide its recording and review features.

Local storage

Recordings, match data, preferences, and library metadata are stored locally on your Mac. Farsight does not upload this information to a server operated by the developer.

You choose whether microphone audio is recorded and which folder stores recordings. Local recordings can be deleted using Finder or controls in Farsight.

Network access

Farsight communicates with the League Live Client API running locally on your Mac to obtain match information. It may also download publicly available game-version and image assets from Riot Games’ Data Dragon service.

Permissions

Farsight requests Screen Recording permission to capture League windows. It requests Microphone permission only when microphone recording is enabled. Folder access is requested when you choose a recording location.

Analytics and tracking

Farsight does not include advertising, analytics, cross-app tracking, or a developer-operated account service in version 0.1.

Third-party services

Network requests to Riot Games services are subject to Riot Games’ own privacy practices.

Farsight isn't endorsed by Riot Games and doesn't reflect the views or opinions of Riot Games or anyone officially involved in producing or managing Riot Games properties. Riot Games, and all associated properties are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Farsight’s features or data practices change. The effective date will be updated when a revised policy is published.
